Dropbox Dash - Senior Software Engineer

›Designed, aligned, and implemented a persistent offline database for the Dash browser extension. Leveraged React Context and IPC events to centralize read-only UI state, mirroring the db. Implemented a sync engine to sync with the server, guaranteeing data consistency between UI, database, and server allowing the app to scale in complexity while remaining responsive
›Lead 2 engineers in the development of a new feature in a sister team's codebase. Aligned on requirements, scope, risks, and solutions with cross team Eng, PM, & Design. Scaled effectively by solving difficult unknowns while providing clear tasks for the junior engineers. Delivered the feature ahead of schedule with full approval of the owning team
›Advocated for and researched industry best practices for React. Introduced React Testing Library and Jotai to enable testing, reuse, and portability of components. This enabled a refactor of the app within a week to match our product pivot due to the confidence in our tests and the portability of our components
›Merged two disjoint extension codebases into one to deliver a unified product experience with gates to disable either experience. Both code bases were in active development and my migration plan caused less than 1 day of disruption to either team
